Slava ukraini !...(as headline does not accept cyrillic)
S60 has been a traumatic year for TB in many ways. The team and coaching staff, living on the road for the best part of the season. That being said - it has not actually been that bad a season so all credit to the team and the support. Some good results in D5 and a lenghty exsposure for all TB riders in D4 which will no doubt help with xp.
Kapriyanov picked up a the teams solitary season's win (Dungun TT) and a couple of podiums to finish 3rd in the riders NT competition. Voronkov broke the team record in finishing 5th in the Tien Shan Stone City and Davydov cemented his place as fans favourite this year with 7 placements, many of which in D5 and his good haul of points was an invaluable contribution to keeping TB in D5.
S60 has cemented progress from S59 - and S61 will probably be the final swansong for a number of riders, Bugayev, Vajda, Nechayev and probably Chendev and Blazhenov as the team will move with a new Generation 4.0 of riders; Rusanov, Polischuk, Dolzhikov, Yunge and Lyutov.
Team Manager Barry said "A difficult year but the team have come through stronger. A good exposure to D4 which we'll like to repeat again for S61 - and to build for a final charge for D3 for S62. We want to aim to be in the top 3 divisions by S63 - our 30th season."
In summary:
Pts: 462 (+16pts)
Division: E (E) (-/+ Divisions)
Rank: Ukraine 1st ( -/+ place)
worldwide 302nd (+14 places)
Team Value 2.017m (+305k)
Personnel & Tactical Changes
Bugayev and Davydov continue in their Captain and Vice Captaincy roles with no overall change in approach. Vajda, Yenotov and Voronkov alternating as VC if TF permits. No retirements this season - although expect a big clear out by the end of S61.
International:
Ukraine did well, and should be pleased with their performance and with a little luck could have actually won the Comrade title. Getting both the national team and Turbin into runners-up place was a significant achievement.
A number of TB riders were heavily featured,including Bugayev (3 caps), Davydov (1 cap - 18th a PB), Voronkov (4 caps - 10th a PB),
Dmitriyev (3 Cap), Nechayev (1 caps), Kapriyanov (2 caps), Chupov (1 cap - 54th a PB), Polishchuk(1 cap - 37th a PB), Volkov (1 cap - 22nd a PB) and a late debut for Detyakov (1 cap - 21st a PB) a superb debut from Zhivenkov (1 cap - 8th). A good sprinking of PBs, an impressive debut from Zhivenkov albeit plenty of "what ifs" following Voronkov's and Kapriyanov's 10th (in addition to Urakov's 3rd) - if any of these places could have been improved - the Comrade Cup title would have gone to Ukraine.....so close....
For TB's Uzbek contingent, Yenotov continues to pick up rides for the Uzbek NT (4 WT) - now maxed he'll be hoping for some improvment.
Arshavin also collected his second career NT cap.
U23 - NOt much to see here !
Ukraine Honours
No races were run in Ukraine this year.
Tours & Cups
TB were able to enter 4 tours (!!) all in D5 including the inaugrual El Corazon. A good result for Voronkov at the Stone City - hopefully maybe breaking our curse on this race. No change on Monte Rosa Tour or Fast on Wheels - albeit, Kapriyanov scored a podium in the stage 1 Proglogue. So overall tour performance was pleasing.
Tian Shen Stone City Cup (D5). Improved Best GC & Av.Pos

Av.Pos. Grigory Voronkov (S60 7th)
Best Stage Performance:

cheers ! ...might try and get a TF for Yenotov for S61
Late to respond but as per usual, I enjoyed reading your season recap! Yenotov, just like Myatlev, has grown gradually more important for the team, and by now is a crucial team mate. Slava Ukraini!
Cheers, yep he done well this season.
Kapriyanov what a rider !
